Nelo Magalhães est allé le dénicher dans sa forme la plus homogène et solide, dans la manière dont il a recouvert la planète, imposé ses lignes et constitué l’essentiel de notre environnement humain, trop humain : le béton. Son livre, Accumuler du béton, tracer des routes - Une histoire environnementale des grandes infrastructures (La Fabrique) s’ouvre sur une drôle d’histoire, extraite d’un livre passé inaperçu, la bétonite.Le béton est atteint d’un virus qui l’amène à s’effriter, le virus s’étend à chaque centimètre cube du fameux matériaux et c’est la totalité de l’édifice social qui s’effondre et la vie entière qui doit se donner de nouveaux repères.

We are creating a physical directory for exploring the vast poetic web. It features the personal websites of hundreds of designers, developers, writers, curators, and educators.
We are humans and might as well get used to it. So far, remotely done power and glory—as via government, big business, formal education, church—has succeeded to the point where gross profits obscure actual loss. In response to this dilemma and to these losses a realm of intimate, community power is developing—power of communities to conduct their own education, find their own inspiration, shape their own environment, and share their knowledge with others. livewhisper.py outputs psuedo-live sentence-by-sentence dictation to terminal. Using OpenAI's Whisper model, and sounddevice library to listen to microphone. Audio from mic is stored if it hits a volume & frequency threshold, then when silence is detected, it saves the audio to a temp file and sends it to Whisper.
